The Power of a Compliment

Today I sent a compliment to a woman's supervisor with whom I know she has had various challenges. In this case, she had gone above and beyond what she is required to do. I could have said thank you to her, and stopped there, but today I decided to take an extra 30 seconds and reach out to her lead. 30 seconds out of the 86K I have today. Women often will not brag about the work they have done or the contribution they have made. We tend to downplay. Supporting through compliments, not just directly but also to their leaders, helps raise the impact and in this case may even help with the relationship. Who can you brag on today?
