Parental Control Software

Friends, Internet safety for our kids has been a topic that has been increasingly on my heart since I heard some statistics last fall. This is a big topic, from inappropriate content to pedophiles to cyberbullying. It's easier just to ignore it, but we can not! I've asked several people lately about what filtering software they use in their homes, and I'm 4 for 4 of getting blank stares in return. Not because they are bad parents but because they simply do not know where to start. We have to act on this! Ella and I were doing an innocent search for a project she had to do for school, and within 30 seconds, we saw images that I didn't even want to see. Even if we 'think' we know what's going on, we can't watch over their shoulders every minute. This article gives different options and prices, some of which are free; at least it's a start. If you are already using a software and can provide recommendations, please post in the comments!
